How it works:
Variable geometry regulates the circulation of the exhaust gas at the turbine inlet, thereby adjusting the air flow rate to optimize the power of the turbine in function of the required load. Variable geometry allows enlarging the range of use of the regime. A variation of the position of the blades "transforms" the turbine into small or large turbocharger. These blades are either controlled by a valve or by an electronic actuator.
