1. Failure to comply with this procedure may damage the turbo, or even the cancellation of the warranty.
2. Change turbocharger setting pressure can damage it, and even train the cancellation of the warranty.
3. Use suitable gaskets; these must not cover the oil supply holes, even partially.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR ASSEMBLY AND TURBOCHARGER USE
I / Check before mounting:
Before every replacing, it is essential to determine the exact cause of the failure, so it does not happen again. Generally, failure of a turbo is in its direct environment. Do not change your turbocharger without knowing the reason for the breakdown of the vehicle.
1. Preliminary checks necessary to achieve:
2. Make sure the engine is in good condition (compression, breather, engine block, electronic components, etc.).
3. Check air filter elements (filter and air box), cleaned or replaced them. The turbocharger thrust collar could drop in case of insufficient air flow. The turbocharger could absorb a foreign body in the event of dirty or damaged filter by wear and cause irreparable damage.
4. Clean the inside of engine air intake and engine manifold. Any foreign body could cause irreparable damage.
5. Absolutely drain the engine oil and replace the oil-filter. Used oil and charged with particles will cause irreparable damage.
6. Do not use liquid gasket or sealants, particularly for the oil inlet or outlet since excessive material may enter the turbo, reducing or stopping oil flow.
7. Fill clean engine oil by the lubrication hole on the body of the turbocharger. IT IS IMPERATIVE TO GREASE THE TURBO BEFORE ASSEMBLY.
8. Check that the oil inlet hose is not partially blocked and connect it to the turbocharger.
9. Switch on the ignition without starting the engine, until a steady flow of oil flows through the turbo oil return.
10. Connect oil return hose, ensuring that the oil flow freely. Check that the hose is not partially plugged or obstructed.
11. In any case, we advise you to control oil pressure with mechanical gauge at the inlet of the turbo.
II / Starting engine:
Once the turbocharger is mounted, start engine and let it idle for 1 or 2 minutes without speeding. Accelerate very gradually to check engine operating pressure. It is preferable to wait the oil temperature rise before urge full engine load.
III / Warranty conditions:
Failure to comply with any of these conditions instantly cancels the guarantee.
For each warranty claims the turbocharger will be disassembled prior in order to check the mounting conditions on the engine.
